Teach your teamwork skills

Ask your children to do the housework, but do not assign specific tasks to each person but let them assign and help each other.

1. Group organization activities

In order for children to practice teamwork skills, nothing is better than allowing children to experience working in organized activities. Through these activities, children will gain a better understanding of teamwork, sharing and helping each other. From there, in future group activities, especially at work, children will have experience in handling and quickly adapting to the situation.

At school, children will experience teamwork through group assignments assigned by teachers. However, parents can register children to join clubs such as volunteering, boy scouts or sports that promote teamwork such as football, basketball, and modern dance.

2. Group game

For children who have not yet gone to school, joining a team club is not possible. Therefore, organize group games at home, invite your friends or siblings to join you. Some simple games that can be organized at home include guessing objects, finding leadership, and dancing. Not only children, nowadays in many companies, these games are often organized to help employees develop teamwork skills.

3. Give examples from TV shows

Children now spend a lot of time on technology equipment and television programs. Parents can use this opportunity to explain to children about the meaning and how to work in a team. For example, when watching a movie with many characters supporting each other to complete the task, you can show your child that the main character has succeeded with the help of everyone, how the team members have worked. . From there, praising the value of teamwork.

Parents can find out movies like "Captain Jake and the pirate land", "Phineas and Ferb", "Super family".

4. Interested in others

When thinking of individuals, children are less open-minded, work superficially or work in the spirit of "strong everyone does". If children know empathy, share with friends, children can work better in groups.

So please encourage your child to care and support you around. For example, encourage when you participate in sports, give lectures to weak students, and inquire about your life. Through these gestures, children also cultivate a spirit of solidarity, kindness, and harmony with people around them.

5. Promote solidarity at home

Children learn everything right in their own home. If family members can combine group work or parents set an example of solidarity for children, they will be in control of social teamwork. On the contrary, if each family member only cares for his / her job, cares less for and shares with each other, children often live alone or selfishly.

If your family has two children or more, ask them to do housework together but do not assign specific tasks to each person. For example, ask two children to clean the house but do not specify who should clean or who must sweep. From there, the children have to assign the work, help each other to complete the assigned task. If you have a child, you can encourage your child to join in work with their parents, such as cooking rice and fixing furniture.

Another popular activity in families is going on a picnic or camping. Thanks to that, the members relaxed their minds and felt more connected. During the trip, organize games for everyone to enjoy.

6. Reading stories

The examples and stories that promote teamwork are close, simple lessons for children. Parents can take advantage of storytelling time before going to bed to share lessons about the meaning of group activities.

For example, the story "Belly and organs" tells the part of the human body that envy the stomach because it only does one thing to enjoy food. So, for several days, hands, feet, mouth refused to work. But only after a few days, the parts felt tired, not as healthy as usual. From there, the organs realize that if the abdomen does not accept food, convert it into nutrition, it will feed the body, the human body will not be able to function.
