How to screen and prevent breast cancer?


Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, knowing the signs of the disease, and having periodic check-ups help increase the likelihood of breast cancer cure.

Eat lots of vegetables and fruits

Research of Harvard University (USA) shows that a diet rich in green vegetables and fruits helps to reduce the risk of breast cancer. If you want to eat meat, you should limit the consumption of grilled meats at high temperatures, which are easy to produce carcinogens.

Exercise regularly

Exercise is one of the most effective ways to prevent cancer. You can search for a suitable sport, keep training for at least 30 minutes a day.

Get enough sleep

On average, each person needs 7-9 hours of sleep a day to maintain a healthy body. Women who sleep less than 6 hours have a 30% increased risk of breast cancer.

Maintain a healthy weight 

Being overweight or obese is directly linked to an increased risk of breast cancer, especially postmenopausal women. Therefore, it is important to maintain a healthy weight by eating and exercising in moderation.

Limiting alcohol intake

People who drink a lot of alcohol have a higher risk of developing cancers. Experts recommend that women should not drink more than one glass of alcohol a day, or preferably not.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding in the first 6 months of life reduces the mother's risk of breast cancer by 40%. Besides, having a baby after the age of 30 also increases the risk of breast cancer.

Avoid hormone therapy

Hormone replacement therapy is a common treatment for women with menopausal symptoms. However, it will increase the risk of breast cancer by 24%.

Avoid prolonged exposure to radiation

Most of us are exposed to radiation, like when we get x-rays ... Small amounts of radiation can be harmless, but prolonged exposure increases the risk of breast cancer.

Screening test

The most important step in breast cancer prevention is periodic screening tests, at least once a year, for early detection and timely treatment.
