4 food should not be fed to children under 1 year of age, otherwise it will be very dangerous

In addition to salt, there are 3 other foods that children under 1 year of age should stay away from, because they will harm children just like "poison".
To take care of and nurture a healthy and developing child is really a job that requires a lot of time, energy and mind. Every parent wants their children to eat well, gain weight steadily. Therefore, they find ways to help their children eat better.

Many parents and grandparents who have tasted the child 's porridge / porridge feel bland and tasteless, saying that is why they refuse to eat. They tasted fish sauce, salt as the taste of an adult, and found it more delicious to eat. But it is a wrong action, can have many disastrous consequences for children's health.

There have been cases, the baby was very young, only 1-2 years old but had kidney failure. The reason is because the baby eats too much salt because parents season the child when the child is less than 1 year old.

In addition to salt, there are 3 other foods that children under 1 year of age should stay away from, because they will harm children just like "poison". Below are details of 4 foods parents should not use for children under 1 year of age.

1. Salt

An excess salt body can increase the pressure on the kidneys and cause more blood pressure problems as the child grows up. (Illustration)

Under 1 year of age, the child's kidneys are not able to adapt to high salt intake. Children under one year of age only need 0.4g of salt, which is completely met by breast milk, formula milk and natural foods when they are weaned. Therefore, parents do not need to use extra salt when preparing food for their children.

At the same time should not use seasoning seeds or sauces to taste baby food because these spices are also high in salt. An excess salt body can increase the pressure on the kidneys and cause more blood pressure problems as the child grows up.

The maximum salt recommended by experts for infants and young children is:

- Under 12 months of age - less than 1g of salt / day;
- From 1 to 3 years old - 2g of salt / day;
- From 4 to 6 years old - 3g salt / day;
- From 7 to 10 years old - 5g salt / day;
- From 11 years old and up - 6g of salt / day.

2. Egg white

Eggs are a great source of protein, vitamin D and minerals. However, eggs are a very allergenic dish for children, especially whites. The proteins in egg whites may cause an allergy or allergy to develop in the future.

In addition, you should not give raw or undercooked eggs to babies and should only use egg yolks to make snacks for babies when they are less than 1 year old.

3. Honey

Unprocessed honey can cause poisoning, constipation, coma, and even death for children under 1 year of age. (Illustration)

Honey is a very healthy food but it is not recommended for children under the age of one year to use. The reason is that honey contains large amounts of sugar and the toxin clostridium botulinum.

For adults, this spore is completely harmless because the digestive system has matured. But for children under one year of age, their digestive system is not strong enough to disable those spores.

Therefore, untreated honey can cause poisoning, constipation, coma, and even death for children.

4. Cow's milk

According to Parents magazine, cow's milk contains a lot of protein and minerals that make children under one year of age indigestion. It can lead to bloating, digestive disorders and damage to the baby's kidneys.

The content of iron, vitamin C and some other nutrients in cow's milk also do not meet the needs of the baby during this period. In addition, cow's milk allergy, or more accurately, an allergy to cow's milk protein, is a fairly common condition in young children. In addition, currently canned fresh milk also contains many additives that are not friendly to the child's digestive system.

Therefore, health experts recommend that children under 12 months of age should not use cow's milk regularly as the main drink. If desired, parents should only start using a small amount of cow's milk to mix into food when the baby is 9 months old.
